Best Disability Support Provider In Melbourne

My mother, Raffaela Donatiello, has been in Weeroona Aged Care for 2 months and the facilities and staff are warm and welcoming. The staff go above and beyond to care for her and the other residents. Mum is really happy there and would highly recommend it to other families looking for an Aged Care facility. The food is of high standard and the place is kept clean and the recreation areas are great to keep the residents happy and interacting in every day activities. I would not hesitate to anyone who wishes to put their loved ones in a facility such as this. Great job to the Management and Staff for achieving a high level of standard living and care for the elderly.Just an update, mum has been there for 6 months now and she is loving the place. There is plenty to do there, with lots of activities, which she enjoys doing and the food is great.On special occasions they do arts and crafts, eg. making poppies for Anzac Day.Each week they have different sets of arts and crafts to do.She has met a lot of people, staff and residents, and they are all kind and welcoming.

After travelling from Tasmania for the visit, I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and quality of the centre. I found the staff were friendly, helpful and caring towards the residents. In particular we were welcomed and assisted by nurse Sandra who was very helpful and kind to us. I left the centre contented that my sister was in good care. Written by Stephen

I wouldn’t recommend this centre due to their rude staff and terrible treatment of my mother. The staff lacked compassion and support toward my family everytime we tried to see our mother. They continued using an aid on my mother that caused her extreme pain, you could hear her screaming from the corridor. Despite being told not to use it. We fought hard against it but our concerns were disregarded. When mum was in her last days the doctor couldn’t even work out the oxygen machine and mum was struggling for breath. It was horrible to watch and feeling frustrated that they were not caring how much mum was in so much pain. Everytime we tried to take mum home for the day the staff would become rude showing attitude as though we were bothering them. Overall our experience at this facility was far from good. It was traumatising for mum and us as a family. I would never recommend Blue Cross not even for my dog.

I worked here at this dump. I would never place a loved family member here. Terrible staff resident ratio, terrible food, terrible care, terrible surrounds and nasty staff attitudes. Management never listened to me and you can bet they won't with you!!

Our mother has been at Opal Murry River for the past three months and we have the experience with transitioning mum into care a very positive experience.The facilitie is warm and welcoming. The staff are nothing but professional and caring.Our Mum along with the family have been made to feel very welcome and part of the Opal Murry River family.

I'd like to thank Sue, Robin, Kate, Dana and all of the staff that looked after Mum, sometimes in very difficult circumstances. Dr Nash was very good too. I'm convinced we made the right choice in this aged care facility and I would recommend them to anyone.
