Abundant Layers
I bought 6x ‘sexed’ 1 day old chicks and later found out 3 of them were roosters. They refused to take them back and were very rude. After pushing them they offered a part refund if I could prove they were roosters. I then had to figure out how to rehome 3 roosters as I live in suburbia. I trusted Abundant layers when they told me the 6 chicks I bought were all females. Very disappointing

Great place with plenty of handy products. Typical Armidale opening hours and friendly staff. On the expensive side for some products but I am sure there is not a massive margin on them

Unfortunately their accuracy rate indentifying 16 Wks old hens are quite weak. Not sure if it is deliberate but well... our first pair of Wyandotte and Silkie were lovely. Then the second time, AL jacked up the price to $65 per chook for a white sussex and a silkie. Prices are fine with me if they had been hens!I took a pic of the sussex when it arrived at my place and shared it on an interest group a few weeks later who then had members told me that I got a rooster. I am quite new to having chooks and so didnt know. Apparently it was already very obvious to the seasoned chook people when my sussex first came. Sadly, we live 3 hrs away so we were lucky to find someone to adopt him.

Abundant Layers
Do not purchase birds. We purchased 2 older hens which have infected the rest of our flock. I am assuming they are infected with gapeworm but am not 100%. Definitely carrying some form of virus or infection. A complete waste of time and money. Now left with over a dozen seriously ill hens.We were told hens were vaccinated and wormed prior to purchase. Thanks for making my girls ill. Will never purchase from abundant layers again.
