Mountain cable car

A word of caution. Tickets purchased on line which is convenient. If you have your card, it will be loaded to go direct to the Gondola. If you don't have a card, you will need to pick it up from customer services office. We did this and were delayed. The result was the Gondola had closed and we lost our money on 4 tickets. We were turned down seeking a change of date. Certainly our fault however, there was no evidence of a desire to assist, rather a statement being, 'We are unaware of any Gondola disruptions today'. I suspect in tourist season, d3mand is likely to be high however tolerance was low. The Gondola closes at 3pm not 3.01 pm. You will loose your money if you are delayed. And loose our money we did without any desire of the vendor to assist, advise, accommodate even when the season was slow at that time, including the next day.

The longest cable car in the world. Much better views than the Kuranda train. Really enjoyed trip and felt much safer than some other cable cars I have been on despite this one being much higher in the air. Tickets are a bit pricey but highly recommended. There are max 6 people to a car if you are travelling in groups.

The view was amazing but due to the winds it got closed on the day, so good idea to check the weather before booking.

Short, easy walk to the summit. Closed shoes are recommended. There is no mud, but the paved road can be slippery. About halfway there the stairs start.We went on a cloudy day and the summit was windy but not too bad. Fantastic views of Zenith Beach and the other bays, and around the summit you have a 360 view. If you have done other hikes this one is fairly easy and quick. The views are beautiful, I definitely recommend it. Be warned tough, it might be closed when you go: there are signs that say this trail will be closed from April 26th to June 2nd, 2023, to enable the installation of new steel stairways.

More monitoring needed to avoid people cutting in line would be great, as we had almost an additional 20-30 minute wait due to families and people cutting in line.

Absolutely Great! Except when the winds get to 100kph and you cant get down on the lift. Wonderful otherwise!

Hate chairlifts. Too high!Well run. Great staff. And once you've opened your eyes, the views are well worth it!

Great place to stop on the slopes. Love the warm alcoholic drinks they have here on a cold dayGood and drinks have always been expensive but that can be expected and it’s always busy here at peak times. You can get a pass to take the gondola up but warning on windy days they may not let you go up.
