I have been coming to Nishikian for several years now with friends and family and it has NEVER disappointed me. This might sound like a bold claim, but it truly is my favourite Izakaya style Japanese Restaurant.I love how some of their dishes change seasonally as it means there's always something new and fresh to try. Their recipes and ingredients are authentic to the real deal in Japan. The iPad system and robot waiter (who is absolutely adorable by the way) are awesome too, makes everything very easy and efficient when paired with their lovely staff.I can't recommend the place enough, thank you!

Super delicious Japanese food. I will highly recommend this place. Great selection of Japanese food options. We tried the Salmon and Tuna sashimi as well as several nigiri options. Bad experience when the merchant to explain this salmon is 1 pc instead of 2 pcs. Fake advertising campaign using wrong number to show the food.This will confuse the customer when you click into the order page, the picture is larger than the words.This is a totally fake ads. We tried to return it because we are two people to have 1pc. They said ordered food cannot return via three different staffs.They didn't provide the solution, just say many people order it. Terrible and unreasonable reason to make this mistake.Won't come again.

Decent Japanese food which is hard to come by in suburban Melbourne. Price point is a bit high for the serving sizes as well as the location. Equally sized and better quality Japanese food for a similar price point can be easily found in the CBD.

Been years since I came here, and stopped by whilst we were in town. Glad to see the food is as wonderful as ever. Ordered a mixture of dishes to share with my partner and they were all delicious. A good word of warning though...One can easily lose track of the number of dishes they have ordered since everything was yummy.Great job K-san and the team, keep up the good work!

Tasty Japanese food with a great ambience and vibes.A fantastic variety of authentic Japanese dishes here, all efficiently placed into an ipad ordering system at each table. Highly recommend the sashimi, as this will melt in your mouth. Agedashi tofu, udon noodles and okonomiyaki were amazing too. Highly recommend for anyone in the area!
